We always meet and usually exceed the required level of roof insulation. We lag tanks and pipes to retain the heat in your hot water. We install highly efficient boilers, and if circumstances allow, we can install highly efficient air source heat pumps. These pumps are at the leading edge of technology, from respected manufacturers such as Samsung, Mitsubishi and Hitachi. We have been qualified to install them almost from the date of introduction
All of our double glazed windows and doors are A rated, from a highly reputable manufacturer with whom we have a long relationship. Our manufacturer buys the UPVC profile from a UK source who participate strongly in the recycling of the replaced UPVC profiles.
We can show you a range of highly eco friendly floorings. Carpets and rugs made of natural fibres are available from sustainable sources. Many standard carpets are made from polypropylene. This is a plastic material, made from oil, and has been highlighted as a significant source of air ingested plastic particles. Naturally grown and renewable fibres include sisal, bamboo, jute and seagrass. And then there is of course the naturally grown, highly sustainable, extra hard wearing and beautifully comfortable – wool….!!
Under floor heating is popular for bathrooms and kitchens, which again can contribute to reduced energy consumption. Underfloor heating is often installed below luxury vinyl flooring.
In the bathroom there are several water saving features that can conserve water and reduce your metered water bills. These include water saving showers, water saving taps and toilet systems. None of these reduce the enjoyment of your bathroom, but all can help you save this precious resource – and reduce your monthly water bills.
