When it comes to saving money on heating and energy bills, the focus has traditionally been on improved insulation. Multi Building Services Ltd have embraced the concept, integrating the latest advances in energy saving loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and thermally efficient double glazing into all of our new homes, renovations, refurbishments and extension projects.
Multi Building Services will continue to be advocates for effective home insulation. In a world of climate change there is the urgent need to reduce the carbon footprint and move away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources.
Improved insulation is only one part of the solution, which is why Multi Building Services have developed an expertise in the installation of the next generation of home heating technology. Energy efficient Air Source Heat Pumps and Ground Source Heat Pumps have been with us for a few years now but recent breakthroughs have made it not only an affordable choice but an option that will save home owners significant amounts of money on their home heating bills.
Through the use of energy efficient heat exchange technology, Air Source Heat Pumps take low grade latent heat energy from the outside air and convert it into high grade energy which can be used to heat air or water inside the home. Samsung Monobloc Air Source Heat Pumps installed by Multi Building Services have a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance of around around 3.5. This means that for every 1kW of electrical energy used, 3.5kW of heat energy is produced.
Perhaps one of the most surprising aspects of Air Source Heat Pumps is that they will continue to produce hot water up to 60C, even when the outside temperature is -10C.
While the Samsung Monobloc Eco Heat System is generally the most cost effective heating solution for most domestic premises, Multi Building Services offers a range of Air Source heating systems according the requirements of the customer. The Samsung TDM unit works as both an air-to-water and an air-to-air heating system which means that it can be used for climate control / air conditioning in hot weather, while Samsung have also produced a range of Air Source heating units that have been designed for use in commercial properties and in multi-occupancy dwellings.
